Fresh from the West End, Jason Manford will bring his unique blend of upbeat observational comedy to Rochdale, in his only stand-up show of 2023.
One of the nation’s favourite comedians, Jason Manford, will take to the stage of Middleton arena this week in a special comedy show to raise money for local homelessness charity, Petrus.
Petrus have been serving the community of Rochdale for more than 50 years, joining the Regenda Group in 2016 to further their vision of ending homelessness and creating safe spaces where all people can flourish.
Through their hub, those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness can access a wide range of support services, from HART nurses to welfare advice and wellbeing support.
The charity also offers temporary accommodation, support to sustain tenancies and hosts a range of wellbeing activity from their hub and community allotment site.
Having visited the hub earlier this year, Jason was inspired to act, agreeing to take part in his only comedy show of 2023 to raise money for Petrus. He will be joined by fellow comedians Barbara Nice, and Steve Shanyaski to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
With the event generously sponsored by S. Wellens & Sons Funeral Directors, 100% of the money raised from ticket sales, and during the event will be going to the charity.
Sonia Denham, Head of Petrus said, “We’re so grateful to S. Wellens & Sons for their incredible support that is helping us maximise the impact we can make for our community. Having Jason, Barbara and Steve help us raise our profile locally and beyond is the most amazing opportunity and we’re excited to welcome everyone to the event!”
