With the amendment to the social housing bill calling to professionalise the sector, fellow housing associations, like us, will be considering the best approach to ensuring all managers are appropriately trained.
The Regenda Group’s training provider, The Learning Foundry, was established to provide skills and training programmes for housing professionals and people within the communities in which we serve to enhance opportunities for everyone.
According to the Regulator of Social Housing, 25,000 managers across the sector will be required to hold an appropriate housing management qualification regulated by Ofqual. This can be equivalent to a Level 4 or 5 Certificate or Diploma in Housing, or a foundation degree from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
