The Pride in Fleetwood Board has announced that Regenda Homes, part of The Regenda Group, has been appointed as the host organisation to help deliver a range of projects backed by £20m from the UK Government’s Pride in Place programme.
This is a significant moment for Regenda Homes and The Regenda Group, to play such a key role in the future of Fleetwood, and a strong example of how we bring our Group purpose to life – through regenerating places and creating opportunities for people in our communities.
As host organisation, Regenda Homes will act as the legal employer This includes responsibility for recruiting and employing staff, managing payroll and HR processes, Two new full-time roles will support delivery: a Programme and Governance Officer and an Administrative Assistant.
In line with national programme guidance, applicants to be the host organisation were assessed by a sub-group of the Pride in Fleetwood Board. This included evaluation of governance and legal eligibility, HR capability, financial management and assurance, alignment with Pride in Place values, local understanding, delivery capacity, risk management, and overall value for money.
Regenda Homes, The Regenda Group’s social housing arm, will take on the role until the end of the 2029/2030 financial year. Operating across Lancashire, the team will lead delivery of the programme and work closely with the local community and partners – building on more than 20 years of supporting people and places in Fleetwood.

Strategic direction and decision-making will remain with the Pride in Fleetwood Board, with Wyre Council continuing in its role as Accountable Body, including financial assurance and compliance with Government requirements.

A public consultation in 2025 identified key themes and priorities for investment. Since then, working groups have been established to develop these ideas further, with Board members actively engaging residents to ensure the programme reflects what matters most to the community. The Board meets monthly to monitor progress and guide delivery.
