New Ferry Regeneration Project

The Regenda Group is proud to lead the regeneration of New Ferry, working in partnership with Wirral Council to create a vibrant, thriving community. This ambitious project will deliver more than 70 high-quality homes and transform the local area with improved public spaces, investment in people, and opportunities for growth.

Phase 1 Complete – 34 New Homes Delivered

We’ve reached an exciting milestone in the New Ferry regeneration journey! The first phase is now complete, with 34 new homes and improvements to Grove Street South public car park complete built in the heart of New Ferry. All homes are now occupied, and the car park is open with 54 spaces (including 7 Blue Badge bays), improved lighting, and CCTV. All 1- and 2-bedroom homes have been described by residents as “not just grey apartments” but homes full of character. To celebrate, we hosted a community event in December 2025 attended by residents, partners, and the local community, filled with festive treats, cheer and carols from Grove Street Primary School pupils.

Social Impact – £778,766 Delivered So Far

Regeneration is about more than bricks and mortar. It’s about creating opportunities and investing in people. So far, the New Ferry project has delivered over £778,766 in social value, including: Apprenticeships and local jobs through M&Y Maintenance and Construction, The Learning Foundry and our partners. School partnerships with Grove Street Primary School, who helped name apartment types and shape a brand that reflects local heritage. Community support initiatives, like providing ballet barres for a local dance school with help from AHS Plastering Systems.

Next Phase – More Homes & High Street Funding Improvements Coming in 2026

The regeneration of New Ferry continues! In early 2026, we’ll begin phase two, bringing 43 new homes to the former Woodhead Street car park and New Chester Road. Homes will be a mix of houses and apartments available for affordable rent through Regenda Homes and Rent to Buy through Redwing. Plans for Bebington Road improvements include safer roads, greenery, and anti-social behaviour reduction

A Group Effort

This regeneration is a true collaboration. The homes were built by M&Y Maintenance and Construction and will be let and managed by Regenda Homes and Redwing – all parts of The Regenda Group. Homes were designed by John McCall Architects. Together, we’re not just building homes – we’re creating opportunities for local people, supporting local businesses, and shaping a brighter future for New Ferry.
